I'm a bit disappointed that the cb's aren't as quiet coming out of the 16 inch barrel as compared to my old Cooey. Any suggestions. I want to shoot grouse while bow hunting.

I think you're getting greedy! :) You want to shoot deer with your bow, incidental grouse with your .22, and you want THAT .22 to be nearly silent AND super tiny. Time to adjust your expectations sir. :)

I trust you're referring to CB longs? (not CCI "Quiet 22") Either way, they have the same report as far as I can tell. Depending on the Cooey you had (I had a full-sized 75 whale belly) the CB longs were almost silent. Shoot a pop can with that combo and the bullet striking the can was louder than the rifle's report! Crazy. Considering that I don't think hearing protection is even necessary with a Rascal/CB long rig, I'm not sure what else to tell you unless you want a spring-piston air rifle. To get one in the power range Thenooblord suggests you're into pretty big $ and a physically larger gun for sure. You might be better off going back to a Cooey for $95.

I picked up one of the rascals for my daughter, the cb' s are much quieter than a regular round and the quiets barely make a noise. Are you sure they are cb' s?

I'd have to agree with ^...

I have a few springers (air rifles) that are way louder than a CB coming out of any of my .22's...with the CB's you can hear the hammer, and the impact of the ball. I will admit the 75's slung 'em out quieter than my shorter rifles, but all of 'em were quiet.

Use your bow and use these

I use the CB longs here for coons in the live traps and I just here the bolt click on my Cooey single shot. I also use them in my 10-22 but I have to work the action and sometimes get stove pipes.
