- How do I mount a scope on this?
- Is there an available picatinny rail?
- Is the barrel threaded (can I easily put a compensator on it)?
- If so, what is the threading?
These are chambered in the 5.56/.223 Calibre, anyone know if there is a version of the T97 in Canada Chambered for 7.62 NATO/.308?

Why? Can you afford to shoot .308 regularly?
Norinco .308 is actually about the same price as Federal .223, so yes, if you could shoot .223 regularly, you could do .308.
You are also ruining your firearm using Norinco bi-metal jacket.

I think that if you have AR's already, the T97 would be a welcome addition, but if it's your first black rifle, i'd say go with an AR
Nah, impossible. Chinese never armed any 7.62 NATO b4, and Type 95 was designed to shoot 5.8mm ......
Do you love your gun range? For me it takes an extra hour to get to and then there's a line to get a slot. Then if you want to re-set a target you're waiting half an hour.
The Type 97 is NON-RESTRICTED. Drive into the bush and shoot it. Big advantage.
They didn't use 5.56 either but here comes a type 97 chambered in it.
