Hey, I've seen these style of rifles around, they're kinda an AR style, with a bolt action, receive AR mags, come with the heat shield foreend. First off, are they non-restricted, second how much, third, where can I get one? T
I think they'd make a nice coyote gun.
Thanks.

Mossberg MVP perhaps? It uses AR compatible mags.

Alternatively, there have been a few semi-custom alterations to get a boltgun to accept STANAG mags.

Alternatively there are some chassis systems such as the MDT Tac-21 and the new LSS chassis that will be shipping soon. These chassis allow you to use AR grips and buttstocks, as well as giving you some rail segment attachmet options. The Tac-21 is available for Remington 700 short action right handed most commonly, as well as left handed or Savage actions. The LSS is debuting for the R700 SA RH, with Savage SA RH to follow, and left handed versions if there's enough demand.

I've got a LSS on order, $420 and change a few weeks ago and it should hopefully be shipping in the next few days. When I ordered the website said the majority of the order had been sold already, not sure if they have any left.

Anything that can mate to an AR lower or upper will be consider a variant, like 50 cal. bolt action upper, the spear/arrow upper and the pellet upper they are all restricted, ATRS have tried to design a non-AR lower, but the RCMP lab still considered it AR variant :(

with that mosberg MVP because it can take AR mags, is it wrong if you buy a high cap mag and depin it and use it in the MVP, are you still breaking the law? because bolt actions don't have a mag restriction right?

Altering the mag in such a fashion is illegal.
The legal capacity of a mag depends on what it was designed and intended for, not what is it used for. As such, with the current laws an AR magazine can never have a legal capacity above 5 cartridges of the type it was designed for.

yes, because those mags are designed for a semi auto and since the MVP is designed to use AR mags, 10 round pistol mags and Bewolf mags are your only hope.
