I bought a marlin guide gun, and it came with the normal iron sights as well as a skinner sight. Now, I"m not particularly fond of either on this gun. I would like a micrometer adjusting peep or ghost ring sight. Does anyone know a good sight for this gun that I don'k have to add a scope rail to it to install??

At the moment, Skinner seems to be the best answer to the Marlin question . . . and they'll mail it to you.

X2, Skinner is top notch as far as ghost rings for Marlins go. If another 1895 crosses my path for some reason another Skinner set will be on order for sure...

Your request seems odd to me having had both. If I am mounting the sight on the action its very hard to get a micrometer sight unless its side mount. I am not find of these as they catch and take away from the purpose of having a lever.
The Skinner system is very accurate for the purpose, and they have different peeps for the housing. A ghost ring on a micrometer adjustable sight is kind of like having 1/8" adjustments on a 3MOA red dot; they don't compliment each other.
