has anybody ordered parts for they're T/C i tried and they will not ship to CANADA ..i am looking for a fire pin with no success ..no problem shooting .209 primers ..but when i install my 243 cal barrel i get "dry fires" i have upgraded the hammer spring to 51 lbs .[thanks to MIKE BELLM] from OREGON USA.

feedback would be appreciated

Have you checked the headspace on the rifle? I have a Pro Hunter also, never had any problems. I have heard that the head spacing can attribute to this. I'm going to pick up the tune up kit from Mike Bellum, has good reviews and comes with head spacing kit, trigger spring and so other handy stuff.

i have changed every spring on my ENCORE [same frame as the PROHUNTER] i can shoot BARNES and Winchester POWER POINTS all day without an issue ..but as soon as i shoot the WINCHESTER SUPREME BALISTIC SILVERPOINTS i get the dry fires ..must be the primer ...

I read somewhere else on another forum about someone having he same problem with Winchester ammo. The firing pin would leave a small indent on some primers but not ignite. Said the duds or misfires would fire fine through their bolt rifle.

Someone replied saying something about Winchester having a harder primer? I'm not so sure how true that is just what I read. I've been shooting Winchester supreme ballistic tips through mine with no issues though.

Do you have a hammer spur on rifle? That could cause the hammer not to strike the firing pin hard enough, heavier hammer slower striking speed.

yes i have a hammer spur [extention] that is why i contacted MIKE Bellm in the USA for a 51lbs new hammer spring ..i installed the spring 2 years ago ..the only issue that i have is with WINCHESTER SUPREME BALISTIC SILVERPOINTS ...i have no problems with the WINCHESTER POWERPOINTS ................ T/C service is obsolete and none existing for CANADIANS ...

This is interesting. I was thinking about getting a TC Prohunter because I liked the idea of a switch barrel single shot. But if the service is that bad...

You might want to try Murray Charlton Enterprises in British Columbia , he is the warranty depot for T C in Canada
And I agree with the fact that T C service in Canada is beyond horrible
With the present recall on the Icons, Ventures and Dimensions still no parts in Canada for the repair and no answer from T C in the US in response to emails
Not the fault of Murray but his hands are tied until T C sends him the required parts
I know that he can order parts from the US from T C
Good Luck

T/C received a pretty hefty fine a few years ago for not following ITAR rules so I suspect they are a bit (pardon the pun) gun shy about international shipping.
