After waiting a month for the transfer to go through i now have my CZ P-07 Duty in my hands. I immediately took it out to the range this past weekend and did nothing but shoot it. I love it, granted it's my first pistol so my perspective is quite limited(all i know is i don't like Glocks, I've tried out my friend's and they just don't feel comfortable in my hands) She fits me like a glove and as far as i can tell is easy to shoot. Contrary to the reviews I've read the disassembly of the pistol was not as hard as they had suggested. the slide release was a bit tight but i managed to get it out no problem once i figured out how far back i needed to push the slide. One thing i quickly learned is that due to the short slide it was hard to rack the slide as you would other pistols, i ended up developing a grab where i pretend i have no thumb and just grab it with my four fingers and my palm.
i put 120 rounds through her so far and not a single problem yet.
i have only two complaints and they are minor things that speak more of my preference than the gun itself. Contrary to whats advertised by CZ, our Canadian models come with the safety installed and do not include the decocker set. Not that that's a major issue for me, i just figured i'd get more use out of a decocker than i would a safety and it would have been nice to have the option included instead of now having to buy it separately. The second thing is that instead of the 3 dot sights, which i prefer as i have an easier time lining those up, we get the box sights.
pictures may come if i can pull my head out of my arse and properly operate the camera. no target pics, i'll get laughed at for sure, maybe after i get some more practice.
