Dose not matter if it is a VW Bug or a Dodge Hemi. What is your rig for hunting, the vehicle that gets you to your hunting spot and back home/camp. Mine is a Toyota Tacoma. Plan on getting blood in the box of it this autumn, big game blood that is, and some from birds. I'm getting the itch!!!
'94 Chevy Z-71 Short-box, standard cab. 5.7 liter with Hypertech performance chip, 5 speed, 373 gearing with Eaton E-Locker in the rear diff. 8000 pound Warne in front. There is not too many places she won't go.
Crappy pic from my cell but here's my rig. '97 Suzi sidekick sport 4dr. Pretty rare model only made for a few years. 6" wider and longer than a normal suzi with a stronger motor. I've put a 3" lift and "real truck" sized tires on it. Front and rear auto lockers and sway bar has been removed for more articulation. It's taken me and my hunting partners to a few places we didn't think we could walk through and easy to load two deer in the back. Plans are to add a custom heavy duty roof rack and front and rear bumpers this year and a 2" body lift. It's a 5sp manual with an ultra low 4Lo transfer case which even though it's only a 4cyl it'll run 1st to third gear without even touching the gas and go through whatever. Nickname it's been giving is the "bug out truck" Full first aid and survival gear is stowed in waterproof cases in the back at all times.
I had 33" Duras on my done up Jeep TJ.. That rig with the lockers would go through snow as deep as the hood. Scared the hell outta the passenger since we were kms away from the nearest road..lol
