I like criticism, and I absolutely agree with your statements, it's just not really feasible for me right now. Maybe if I narrowed the bullets down to a few, but this task is much more daunting and time-consuming than I ever expected. I couldn't imagine trying to do it at 400 or more yards with ballistics gel.
The test was never meant to be a perfect real-world hunting performance indicator, more to compare different types of bullets/construction in the .270 caliber of new and old. Plus, more than likely someone has experience with one of these bullets in the field, so they have something to compare against. Also, it will (I think) shed light on the fact that more speed is not always beneficial to terminal ballistics when looking at certain types of bullet construction, and the fact that bullets should be geared towards their intended target, range, and velocity.
