Hi guys, I am new to this site . I Did my None Restricted course on May 26 and then I did my Restricted course on June 15th and i got my Mug shot at a Shoppers Drug Mart and shipped out the same day and the Head office in NB got it on June 19th conformed they got my applications on July 17th now its August 15th and the other day i phoned in and the Lady told me they are working on my applications and i should get a phone call very shortly when i have no clue . What do they ask your spouse and references ?

They'll ask your references if they think that you would ever use violence to solve a problem, in like 5 different ways. Probably ask your spouse the same kind of questions, I dont know, I didnt have a spouse when I got my license.

As the "Shorten PAL times" thread advises, keep calling in. (READ THE FIRST POST)
Once they're ready to do your references, they only try to call them once, and then just give up. They send them some snail-mail with your file number, requesting that they call in to do the interview
SO instead, if you call them frequently, they'll eventually just do your own interview on the phone, and give you the case file number so that you can get your references to save them the time.

phone calls wont make it happen any quicker - just wait for the surprise in the mail. some people have been waiting over 3 months. I sent my renewal in last month due to the wait times I'm reading about and my renewal isn't due till November. Don't forget once you get your lic in your hands you get to wait Again while you apply for a transport permit

ya but I am not renewing my PAL I have applied for and I know I gota get a (ATT)
Ha, wait till after you get your RPAL. The fun ain't done yet! Since you're in Ontario, you'll need to join a club, do a club level ATT course and written/practical exam, do x number of supervised probationary shoots then depending on the club you join (some apply right after your club level ATT course, some may wait until you complete your probation shoots) then wait another 2-3mts to get your ATT approved. Good thing we're not criminals.
