I to, have the same rifle, only mine is the Lakefield 64b. As others have said, same rifle as the Cooey. Parts identical.. Savage now makes them. Parts are still available.
As with other's, mine is pariticular about what ammo it digests. It really likes the CCI Stingers, and velociters. These tend to be higher velocity rounds. I've used Remington Cyclones and they work well, but after 200 rounds the action gets dirty and starts to jam up. It's pretty dirty stuff.
The Cooey/Lakefield/Winchester/Savage 64b like to have a clean action to cycle properly. A thorough cleaning of the action and bolt is important. Filing the front of the mag a little is also a good thing. I find on mine, if I slam the mag in the receiver to tightly it jams a bit, particularly with my new mag iI bought a few years back.
These rifles are finicky, but accurate and fun to shoot once you get them working properly. Keep it clean and use the oil sparingly, it will likely work a whole bunch better.
Try different ammo till you find the one it likes best. Every rifle is different even if it is the same model.
Keep us posted on how you make out.
