Ahhh, great find! 788 clips/magazines are very hard to come by.

Yes, even the more common ones like for the .308 Win are seemingly scarce. `

I was fortunate to score 3 of them so marked .308 Win in the past year at a real decent price. I don't have a 788 in .308 Win but do have one in 7mm-08 Rem which uses the identical magazine.

And here i've been calling them detachable box magazines just to please the tactifool crowd, er i mean the tacticool crowd. Great rifle by the way that 788 in 222, mine has a canjar single set trigger that cost more than the rifle.

I have a 788 Carbine in 308 and 3 extra clips...whoops MAGS It's way better rifle than Remington intended, but I'm embarrassed to show it to my buddies cause it's got a real light hardwood stock. But it's a shooter. Jim
