Will a norinco np58 (40 cal) mag be okay to use with 9mm in my NP22

I have been searching for mags for my NP 22 for the upcoming Black Badge course. But with no luck. The only ones in the EE, the guy won't respond to my PM.

I have 3 NP58 mags. I tried loading some 9 mm in them and the round fit well and seems secure.

Does anyone know if 9mm can be safely fired from the NP58 mags?

My NP22 came with an NP58 slide and mags so I know the frame will take the mags no problem.

Has anyone tried this before?



Does anyone have 3 NP22 mags they want to sell?
 
Safety is not an issue. The question is - Will they feed ok. I have both calibers of SIG, CZ, and M&P. M&P does not work and one of the other does not work. One does. I forget which.

rack then slide a few times and see if they feed.
 
I would say no. I have both, but have not tried because i have no need to, but the cartridge size difference is noticeable. So i cant seen how it could work. I could be wrong......
 
For what it's worth... I tried a 40sw Sig mag in my 9mm 226 as I heard that some had success... It didn't feed anything past the first round.
 
I tried a .40 sig mag loaded with 12 rounds on 9mm in my p226. it worked ok only, not perfect. the slide would sometimes lock back on the 11 th shot and other strange issues like that
