What optic are you using on your 3 Gun AR?

I'm using a Bushnell elite tactical 1-6.5 but find the eye relief is VERY short on it. If I don't get a perfect cheek weld I'm seeing black to easily. Love the magnification range and like how the "horse shoe and dot" light up but find them difficult to see on anything more then a dim day. Could have been a really awesome scope but this is yet another product on the market before the engineering was finished !?! :( I paid a fair chunk of change for this and really thought I'd like it when checking it out at the store but after playing with it a fair bit this summer I would NOT recommend it!!!!

IIDont have a problem with the eye relief, but the eye box is kind of tight

I'm also a fan of the elcan specter dr, I'm using the 1-4.

anyone try mounting a C more at 2 oclock...to work for close up stuff...and a magnified optic on top? i have a burris 1x4, but don't like it for close up stuff. i was thinking of changing my set up for 3 gun on my sti ar.

I used to use an aimpoint at 2o'clock. At first I used the Kac side mount but it didn't work for me at all. I then picked up the Brownells sidemount which was cheaper and worked way better for me but I still couldn't really get used to constantly tilting back and forth so I went with the specter and it works really well for me.

not many people do this, though some opt for the offset irons. Problem is that is puts you in open at most 3 gun matches, and it is barely faster than just running a variable scope with a decent 1x

And really... If the target is close enough. Throw a couple of shots at it (aim with your mojo) and run.
With IMA rules all you "need" is 1 'A' or two anywhere in the scoring zone(s)
