Just bought a very nice Zastava Z5 .22LR, and managed to find a 10 round magazine for it! Life is good. Only problem is that the grooved receiver does not look to be compatible with most standard 3/8", or even 11mm rings. Although the iron sights are very decent, I would love to mount a 2-7X35 Vortex Diamondback (rimfire version) scope on it. Trying to make it into a small game hunting rifle. Thanks.

I put burris rimfire rings on mine and worked perfect. Dont be shy get out there and get some rings. I had a diamondback 4-12x40 on mine. Was a hell of a shooter. I regret selling it.

I used what I think are Leopold rings I already had. I have the same rifle in 22 mag. I have shot a few groups at 100 yds that you could cover with a nickle. One of my favorites of all time.

Yes they would.

Is this from personal experience? Any canting experienced with them? Millet Angle-lock rings seem to be what most are going with for these Z5s, but I'm slightly intimidated by them. I've heard that these type of rings can damage your scope if mounted incorrectly. Also, I think that Angle-locks are less sturdier than solid ones. Maybe that's just me.

Not with those exact ones but they are very good rings. Couldnt find em in Canada so I went with leupold or burris. They are all essentially the same. I would take those millet's and put em in the trash. A 3/8 dovetail is the same no mater what gun they cut it into. They will work just fine and are one heck of a ring. From what I have noticed online is that when it comes to rimfire rings most people cheap out to the max. Lots of guys running rings that are $10-20. Personally I dont want to buy junk. I have some rimfires with rings that are $70 on them.

X2 on throwing the millet angle locks in the garbage! Never liked them. Can't go wrong with Burris or Leupold but have toi be willing to pay the price for them.

Every scope I have mounted on the Zastava's have had Burris rings on them. We have had no reports of them sliding or loosening up (and believe me, I would be the first to know if they sucked. The Leupold rings are generally about $20 more and of better quality; however, they do not match up as well to the dovetail as the Burris Rings. As others have stated earlier, run away from the Millet rings - they just don't compare for a few dollars less.

Now when it comes to a CZ 452, the Leupold rings spanks the Burris rings hands down. I have a hard time trying to sell $90 CZ Rings when the New Leupolds look beautiful...

We slapped a Hawke rail on a 452 American the other day. It fits; however, it is for 9mm, 3/8", and 11 mm dovetails. It is definitely more aimed to fit 9mm dovetails but it sure helped this guy with a 6-24x50 scope with a 30 mm main tube. The rail covers the entire ejection port so I tried ejecting a few magazines worth of various ammo without any hiccups. In that scenario, I used burris Zee rings because they sit lower than Leupold PRW.

As far as rimfire rings goes, Hawke has a lot of great options; however, I just hate Hex heads.

Could just get a d.i.p rail for the cz.

TALLEYs in the high to mount that Sightron SIH 4to12X40mm.

Ho yea. It's in my top five to date. Refinished it with boiled linseed oil, Howards feed & wax and also worked the checkering. Very happy with the result.

Great rifles.

Gagnon usually has the 10 rd mags but they're $40 ea iirc. Apparently plinkster mags can be fitted easily though. I used cheap eBay airgun rings with a set screw to prevent them from walking on the rail. Worked good for me.
