I really hope we will get the semi auto type 81.

They classified the S&W MP-22 as an AR variant FFS!!!

Not a single internal part in common!

Don't hold your breath.....

There are two ways to go through life. Positive, or negative.

If I'm told it is prohib, well it is currently outside my reach so I am out of nothing. If it is approved, then I have gained.

Or I could mope, and not hold my breath. And let it fester with all of the other things I have been negative about.

Perception is reality. Change your perception, and you change your reality.

I appreciate your preception. It ain't mine though.

I should be shooting my Type 97 any day now. Soon.

Then to start saving for the Type 81.

I try not to be a pessimist mind you, but I don't walk around with my head in the clouds, full of rainbows, and unicorns.

I keep my expectations realistic, and goals attainable. No disappointment, and moping around. ;)

China is the only one keeping the Red Rifle market alive. They are the only Reds still making guns we can buy! Haha

I mean, are the Czechs making more of a Maroon rifle? Designed by Reds, who are now democratic.... So Black now? Like a color mix?

You have to admit that Bren though looks mighty ###y.

I don't like buying the same gun over and over again. It just takes up room in the safe for a different gun. I already have a CSA Vz 58 in .223 so I feel it is pointless to go out and get a 7.62x39 Vz 58. However, this Type 81 is a different gun. I'm in the middle of saving money for a new gun and I'm waiting to see if the Type 81 will get approved before I buy a new gun. The longer it takes, the more I save. If the gun doesn't get approved, then I'll have lots of money for something really cool. Always wanted an AR but don't like the fact they're restricted so an XCR would be cool.

well a czech made cz858 in 7.62x39 is absolutely not the same as an american made csa vz58 in .223, sorry they might look the same but they're very different, mostly in calibre and quality, the cz858 being better.

Vz carbines vs Type 81 LMG. Hardly a comparison, save for shooting the same calibre. If that is the basis, why not throw in the XCR in 7.62x39?

The type 81 LMG looks different, is a different style and comes from a different country. If one doesn't want one then fair enough.

LMGs are just plain cool!

CSA are made in Jablunka, Czech Republic. The Czech Point and Century Arms Vz 58's are made on CSA parts kits. I owned a CZ 858 with side folding stock before my CSA. My judgement and experience from owning both says otherwise.
