Can i find a AR in 40SW? Does it even exist in Canada?

Well,

I Like the caliber and would like to know if I can find a 40SW barrel and mags for my AR. Do you guys know if it is possible?

I already have a AR in 9mm and would like to keep it just buying a 40SW barrel and mag. I think the JR carbine is a great gun but I would like to stick with my ar if possible. I know it's a long shot.

Don't think such a monster exists - would love to see one thou as I love the caliber as well -- but If you change your mind and want a non restricted JR carbine in 40S&W , let me know :)
 
I have an Olympic Arms KD40 (AR style) in 40sw with 4 mags and a spare bolt. Guess it is a bit rare, haven't seen another one. Great shooter and never had a problem. Bought it off the EE a few yrs back.

Even if you could find a 40S&W AR barrel, changing it back & forth from 9mm would be a major PITA as they are not a quick change barrel design. I also have my doubts as to the reliability of a 9mm bolt feeding & extracting 40 S&W cartridges. It seems to me that if you're dead set on going 40 S&W in your AR that you look into the RRA 40 S&W complete upper. Then changing from 9mm to 40 S&W is as simple as pulling the front & rear pins & swapping uppers. If there isn't a Canadian RRA dealer (and I suspect there likely is) then IRUNGUNS could probably import an upper for you. From looking at the RRA website it appears that the 40 S&W mags are proprietary meaning they could be hard to find although UZI or Colt style 9mm mags could probably be altered to fit fairly easily.

I had an Olympic Arms 9mm upper which worked flawlessly with a mag block and STEN mags but looking at the Oly website it appears that they are out of stock on just about everything. Too bad because if their 40 upper worked as well as my 9mm did you would be very pleased with it.

Yes it's a K40, don't know where I got KD40 from. Says 223 on the side but it's definitely 40SW. Runs flawlessly and goes well with my G22C,CZ75,SW M411,SW40F,XD40 and STI Trojan all in 40SW. Here's a pic with a spare bolt:
