I was given a pre-2006 (original design) Remington 700 trigger with a broken connector. The break is across the hole for the overtravel screw.

Are replacement connectors available, and if so, can anyone direct me to a source or am I SOL in getting this trigger operational?

It is difficult to impossible to source Remington trigger parts but you can often find entire triggers on the EE for reasonable prices. I personally like the Remington trigger especially the older ones which can be adjusted to a nice clean pull.

Ain't that the truth. I took my Remington 722 trigger (1952) to a gunsmith and they safely brought it down to less than half a pound (passed bump test and safety worked). Too bad the rifle in question is a hunting rifle and I had to increase the weight to about 2 lb.
