I need a new stock for my CZ858. I've got a CSA rail with a VOMZ compact scope so I need something that will let me get some cheek weld but I'd also like to still be able to comfortably use the irons when the scope is removed. Also, folding is preffereable.

Can anyone recommend a good stock to use with this setup?

I'm thinking either Stormwerks adapter plus folding mechanism or this one from Corwin plus an AR style stock (but no idea which one)...

Check out some of these: http://www.zahal.org/groups/butt-stocks-vz-58/&page=1

A lot of them are folding and you can get cheek rests with them. Plus Zahal ships to Canada, you don't have to pay any tax, and most of those have free shipping.

I've read really mixed reviews about the Zahal ones. Do you have any experience with them? Also, I don't really like the look of them. I've seen some sharp looking rifles on here that have some sort of Magpul stock and if that would be functional for what I need, I'd rather go that way.

Thanks for the reply!

I have a non folding one from Zahal ( AR 15 ) and an adapter for the CZ858 if you are interested. I could use the hardware to fit an ordinary stock.

I've been using my Fab Defense stock and have been quite happy with it:

BUT!

Keep in mind:

A) I'm biased

B) The one I'm using has adjustable cheek weld, but fixed LOP

C) This one folds the opposite direction from a standard Vz58 folding stock.

I have one of the non folding ones on my 858. The recoil reducing buffer tube does its job without me noticing (some people says it annoys them, YMMV), it's pretty solid, the cheek rest is comfortable, and in my opinion it looks good. I'd say the only things that annoy me about it are the non-standard QD swivels, and the fact that I can't use my Neit Arms single point sling plate with it (which is only a problem with the way the tube was designed on mine, not any of the folders).

Is yours the polymer or metal version? Also, how quickly does the cheek rest adjust?

If you would like AR-15 tube with a folding mechanism which was made for CZ 858 we do have one brand new unused manufacturer sample You can have it for $128 regular price for them will be $190 mark. It is very similar to the one on our website which we sale for $192 only diffrence that the tube can not be stock by itself

I'm very interested but I'm not sure I understand how the sample differs from the one on the website. Could you please clarify for me? Thanks!

I have four of these: http://www.zahal.org/products/tactical-folding-butt-stock-cheek-piece-for-vz-58-cz-858?path_parent=219005. I would not use a different stock as I just love these ones. I have tried just about everything else out there, except the Galil styled stocks, and this one is the best combination of features. It is very adjustable for cheek weld.

Well... You sold me on that stock. It's the most affordable option that does what I need. If it doesn't work out, I'll try something else!
