Type 97 at Wolverine Supplies

I suppose. Looks aside the only improvements that I can tell from the pictures would be an AR like fire selector (position of current one is strange) and a detachable carry handle. I imagine those two issues have already been beaten to death though and I'll still most likely end up picking one up either way.

Considering that it was originally designed as a military battle firearm I really don't think that the aesthetics and commercial appeal really came into play in the design and function.

Isn't that true for most of the military arms? AR15, AK47, Swiss Arms, SCAR, HK G36, Tavor, HK MP5, FS2000, RA XCR etc etc. But yet all of these seem to have aesthetics worked out to a certain degree.

Just look at that slant above the trigger..... Why is there a slant LOL

Could be generational as well, I remember days when the AK and the AR were considered the ugliest thing on the planet.

Hi Wolverines,

I'm not sure if the question has already been asked, but would it be possible for customer to shoot it if we were to drop by the store in person ?

I don't see why "usage" would be a real problem as long as we shoot non-corrosive ammo. Even it there was a huge demand, it would actually be great to prove the solidity of the rifle, before we all discover that the queen cannot be abused. :)
