rem. r5 molnlithic upper non restricted?

the general appearance of this weapon reminds me of Robinson arms nonrestricted semi. according to rem. defense catalog 18 and 20'' heavy contures are available its the monolithic upper that give me hope it will be non restricted in Canada as appearance seem to dictate the call on restricted /non-restricted here . Has anybody herd any news on this product all i know is it was turned down by the us army in favor of the acr.
 
The lower that you have to mount it to is regardless. The OP seemed to think that buying one of these uppers, because they resemble an XCR upper, would reclassify the firearm.

For some reason I had a hard time understanding his post I thought he was wondering what the upper is classified as.
 
Uppers are uppers their not restricted

The upper isn't a firearm and is unregulated. Big difference from it being "not restricted".
