Black Badge Question

We were told in our black badge (in alberta) that we had to compete in at least 1 qualifier a year to stay current. And we have to compete in one within the first year to actually get our black badge.

so you did your first qualifier? soooooo do you have to do 1 a year or technically could you now just keep paying your annual dues and never do another competition and still keep the black badge?

I took my BB years ago, and I have not participated for about 13 years. So I have to re-qualify, no big deal, things have changed.
I am looking forward to the course, refresh the skills and learn the new game. If you do not use the skills you loose them.
Participate, have fun, shoot often.
Maybe I should have taken my own advise, oh well such is life :)

In BC, once you have your Black Badge, you must shoot a level II match (or higher) per year to maintain certification. If you do not maintain certification, there are a variety of consequences (depending on length of inactivity) ranging from competing a Level I under the supervision of a Black Badge Instructor all the way to re-taking the Black Badge Course if you have been inactive for a period of 4 years.
