For those of you that are using Scenars..............

What has been the most successful distance that has worked for you??

I am touching the lands with about .020" to .030" to go before I do not fit the magazine so it is looking like I will have a useable mag length cartridge but am wondering where most loaders are finding the best accuracy.

My last conversation with the Lapua master distributor on the topic of Scenars - he advised small jump. That is consistent with advice on other VLD designs.

Well , did my measuring and figuring.

Gonna go with just touching for a start , the marker just barely got removed from the bullet when I chamber a round, see where that gets me.

Jam or jump, never noticed much difference with my Coyote.

Toolman, are you using "Palma" small primer brass? I was told it can handle higher pressure loads. The maxium load I can use in my Coyote is 45 grains of Varget before it starts blowing out primers on Winchester large primer brass. Anyone else have this problem?

No, that load is with winchester brass. When using lapua brass I use 47grn of varget. Keep in mind that I moly coat my scenars.
