Walmart Price Check. COLT LE 6920

Well bottom line. Free marke.
Now there is the dealer like Irunguns step in
So the local dealer can't use the restriction (import lincese ) as the barrier to stop peolpe bring in themselves

Just like in car business. They can stop new car but they can't stop used car
so the used price still collopse and the company have trouble to sell their lease reture for the price they want!!

I will say its just started. Lets see how the Canadian gun retailer will answer the call just like any other Canadian retailer did while back !!

My 0.02

1: You forget that there are a few dealers that buy direct from the U.S because they have their own FFL. They don't need CDN wholesalers or Distributors. They can buy from any store and just ship it up.

2: Questar and One Shot are selling P-Mags $20 and LESS. You keep on trying to hold onto that mags are $25-$30 dream. You won't be around long.
Answer me this. 10 round pistol mags don't need to be pinned.....yet they are 50% - 100% more here in Canada.

Drill a mag. Pop a rivet. 10 seconds? 20? 1 a minute is super generous. Drill an average of 60 mags an hour? PAy a guy $10 an hour. That adds 16 cents to each mag. WOW
I can see why you perpetuate the myth riveting a mag makes a $10 mag = $25. LOL

Why are Glocks $200+ more here? Glock likes to rip-off Canadians.

OH well. I buy from the dealers that make an effort to bring us favorable pricing. I know they can't match U.S, but long gone are the days of $34.99 AR magazines.

Good thing our sks is cheaper n better than theirs
I dont have answers on why our 6920 is $ 600 more

I dispute your numbers.. and your times (a little)
You forget unpacking and repacking. and you would generally have a jig setup so you put the rivet in the right place and then you need to fine tune the rivet so the mag will eject.. I would believe it's on the order of 2-3 minutes per mag.. and You can't pay someone $10 in reality it costs a minimum of $15 for an employee( when you figure employer costs, vacation pay, and the overhead of just having staff) .. So the added cost is under $1 a mag (but not as low as you suggest)

Oh yeah
So when I help my friend (yes a very rich friend) to get his brand new 2011 Porsche 911 GT3RS from Chicago
$145000 all tax duty paid shipping inculed and local dealer still want almost $190000 tax in
For Excaly same car. Same color same option.
For sure they don't want peolpe go down and buy

But as I knew transport Canada now change many collision stranded to match the US one
so we can import many US model now

I've heard of some wealthier Canadians ordering luxury cars in US, flying down, purchase, return pay taxes etc... and it was still thousands cheaper.

Its just not fair ! You guys in the States can go to a Walmart and buy this kind of stuff and way up north here we are lucky if we can find a decent box of .22 shells on the shelf at our Walmart. It's just not fair !

So I was down in Indiana this week. Of course I visited a couple of gun stores.... 8 I think :)

I thought I would check out Walmart to see what they have......

There is NO Shortage of COLTS if Walmart stocks them.

Makes you wonder why they are $1850.............

THey had DPMS .308's for $907! SIG M400 For $20 more than the Colt.

Every store I went too had P-mags out the bum...and Glock Mags. BGC's and LPKs were abundant.

Sooooo. If a store tells you it's hard to get.....most likely they say that to keep the price up.

Here at the Walmart in Grants Pass Oregon the Colt LE6920 FDE Magpul are $1147 out the door.... No sales tax in Oregon.

But in America, you break your arm and have to spend $20,000 for treatment.

Another $20,000 per year if you want to put kids through college.

The cost of living may be a little lower, but is the quality of living the same?

I would rather pay for my treatment than pay 15% tax in quebec knowing they go in someone pocket

What if you need it one day, and don't have the cash or line of credit to pay for it?

Ok, I don't want to derail the thread with a healthcare debate. I'd like a $1097 LE6920 as much as the next guy.. :D

You are right. The quality of life is not the same.

The Quality is Better south of the Border. It called Freedom.

Why does everyone expect the Government to take care of them.

You can't assign a price to the price of FREEDOM..
