Hey CGN,

I'd like to mount a light onto my Classic Green rifle...but keep the stock fore grip at the same time. What is the best way to do this? The light I want to put on it is the Inforce one.

Thanks,

- J

there are a pile of offset mounts that will allow you to find space on the picatinny rail on the receiver. if you want pics google mounting a light on the sig 556. should fnd what you are looking for

Personally I would just mount a section of pic rail to the handguard and throw an x300 (or inforce if you must) at 10 o'clock.

I'd be looking at the MOE rail sections and my 18v Milwaukee and figuring on ten minutes of eyeballing if it was me.

Thanks for the advice...would you guys go with the long 5" or short 2.5" piece or rail? Again know the Inforce WML in the light I am after. The backing pieces...are they big enough to fit the SIG slots, they are quite bigger then the ones on a MOE forend.

$8 Magpul MOE Plastic Rail off ebay, the backing that comes with this will NOT work properly.

Special backing for the screws I got from home depot, or capital iron or anywhere that sells nuts and bolts and other bits. Their cheap.

Sorry I never got back to you Jeff, hope this helps. It's the quickest cheapest way i know of to mount a light on the stock hand guard of the SAN rifles, and works well for me
