Shot shell question...

Hello All,

Trying to seal up some slug shells to prevent the slug from falling out, any ideas or suggestions? Trying to stay away from wax... Thanks!

why not just crimp the end like normal?or there is roll crimping.

i dont think I have enough material to crimp haha, i read something about using nail polish, would that be safe?

as long as it doesn't seep past the slug/wad into the powder it should work.

what about silicone? or using a roll crimp (not sure how much you need for it though)

or hot glue.

heck my slugs are tight enough they wont come out cause they expand the shell a bit

I am not sure what you are using for hulls, wads, or slug, but "nail polish" would need to keep the slug from falling into the chamber. Wax fails in a warm barrel, even hot glue fails in the cold. It is: roll crimp or star crimp. Most other options include a higher risk of loosing fingers due to a bore obstruction.
