For those who is on the waiting list please send me confirming email. IT MUST BE ADDRESSED to AL. I will need you to confirm it with same 3 fields of information as above. I am only getting 20 of M44 on this shipment. Next one should be 25. Those really rare now. If I don't see confirmation email then I will go to next person on the list. Email master@westrifle.com

Can anyone tell me about where the M44 was produced? Is it possible that some of these are Polish made, and if so, how to distinguish?

Yes, there are Polish M44. Five countries apparently made 44s.

Look for an 11 in an oval on the receiver... That denotes Polish.

If they are coming out of Soviet Union they will not be Polish. Polish ones were exported to North Korea, and few African countries only. By the way are you getting some M38?

Yes there are Polish, Hungarian, Chinese, Romanian and Russian M44s. This import are Russians from everything I've read.

Still waiting for an M38. I'd be interested in one of those.

Al and Co. at Westrifle don't mess around when it comes to Russian milsurp... The multiple SKS I have bought off them are always better than "hand picked" I've seen elsewhere. They have previously stated that these are museum quality and some of the last M44 they could locate. I'm in for two, so I'm sure I won't be disappointed. If you want one, get in now or risk disappointment!

I'm on the list for an M44 and M38, or two M44s. I have no idea where I am on the list but good things take time. No where else is the Canadian market bringing these things in. These boys at Westrifle bring in the nicest rifles.

M44s in the last year have gone up from 250 to 400 on the EE. And have been selling quickly. They are rare now. It happens.
