"Sometime this fall" as opposed to "next week".. Speaking of which, I have one on preorder with them, too as a show of support for all their efforts. Might even keep 2, one for export when I start snowbirding (not that old but I can do my job from any place with decent Internet) and one for here.

It's a pretty proven design, but if you are nervous I would recommend purchasing from a dealer with a real storefront and a rep for good service.

How close are these rifles to the original military versions apart from the whole semi vs. auto stuff?

Is the barrel the same size?

Calibre is different from the military version. So I'd assume the barrel is different.
