Playing with the new annealer.

So I had Graf and Sons send me a Benchsource Annealer while I was down in Raton and finally got a chance to play with it today.

Results look promising but may have to adjust the dwell time by 1/2 or a 1/4 second. Neck looks nice and soft and should yield some consistent neck tensions when done.

Not sure if need to add or subtract the 1/2 second but will do some more experimenting in the near future.
 
Here are some of the true test subjects. Still trying to source out some Tempilaq locally before running my good brass through.

The melted case was from trying to get the new Map gas and nozzles positioned properly. Obviously some saw the humor in my original post. Lol
 
Definitely want the liquid tempilaq. I get my best results when 700F melts at the shoulder and 750F does not melt. Also important to either polish inside and out after or tumble for an hour to remove the oxides that form from the annealing. Failure to do this can result in scratched cases, and damaged bushings.
