M14 - Who tunes/repairs them?

I know Dlask arms does work on them but it comes down to what your willing to spend as some parts can be expensive to make like an adjustable gas system and he threads the barrel for 80 bucks so it depends on what you want.

On a more serious note, the artist formerly known as Hungry(now tactical teacher as mentioned above) is an awesome resource and one helluva nice guy and is definitely worth talking to, as is 45ACPKing(formerly the M14 Doc). Both are excellent resources that we here on CGN are very fortunate to have access to. There are also a bunch of other members on here that are very super helpful and also know a ton about this platform, hang around on this forum for a bit and you will quickly find them.

Yup, I'm retired (M14Doc)
That said, I have been helping out the odd guy just to keep busy. For free of course ;)
And I'll be around for those with serious issues and such.
I'm not doing the accurizing/full builds anymore.

Doug at Ellwod epps , Casey at Tac Ord are two guys I am aware of.
There aren't many guys in canada with the specific tools and knowledge for the finer stuff. (Dwell time, correct NM trigger jobs, oprod fitting and gas system unitizing)

I "might" get back into offering gas system NM unitizing and trigger jobs down the road again as the number of folks who keep emailing and asking me is nuts.

But for now, those two guys above, or check Tactical teachers's subform for M14 clinic dates near you
 
The best point of an m305 is that you can tune it yourself. Tonnes of info in the stickies above. Even if something goes 'wrong' it'll be cheap to fix. (Probably).

I got a 2 day clinic coming up in Petawawa 19-20 Oct. Lots of room. Much good learning to be had.

Damn You Barney.

After speaking to this weekend at the Precision Rifle clinic I may just buy a Norc for the M14 clinic.
I'll make sure RugerBlast leaves the Tactical Tarp at home this time.

For those of you who have not yet met Barney, if the Precision Rifle Clinic is any indication you'll have a blast at the M14 clinic.
You may even get the "Desert Eager" story out of him.

PS still waiting for you to post the tarp pics I sent you.
 
Working on a 09 Nov Sat Clinic at EESA. Stay tuned. It's gotta be presented to the executive. And it's only gonna be a ONE day venue. Trust me the 2 day clinics are Wayyyy more fun. :D

I was just out west for a month of July Yuk yuk yuk

And then I was in Fred'town , NB June 2012 for an M14 clinic. That was fun!!

With more of my first career coming to a close and the unknown start of my second career, I don't know how many cross country trips I got left in me!?

I wish i would have been into m14's at the time when you came to fredericton, if you're ever going to be in NB again, sign me up!
 
i can read all the material ever printed and it wont help me, im a sit in front hands on learner.

so until i can find a clinic to sit in on im high and dry on this.
well, other then fumbling around in my own shop!

ill just keep my eyes open, maybe at one of the calgary gun shows in the future we will see a m14 clinic.
with how massive the easter gun show is in calgary im suprised they dont run clinics there on different platforms.
