This may amuse you.........:p

Somehow you never bring your glock when shooting in open division...

People always see what they want to see... The best part of the story - I don't even remember telling you anything, now it is obvious you didn't like my straight and honest answer back then, still hold personal grudge and crying like small baby... Man the f**k up. You do owe me an apology for what you are doing here and on other forums.

Thanks for the laugh! Look up the definition of a man again because if I am the one who has to man up then you are using the wrong dictionary. What I am doing to you? Trust me you do it to yourself. I was asking you for advice, saying because it was faster is obviously not advice. If you think I am holding a grudge because of that you are clueless.

Based on your actions and reactions it is quite obvious you do hold a grudge. I am not really interested in discussing that in this topic. You know who I am and can talk to me in person like a real man.

I recall the one 3 gun match that Mrclean shot with an M1 Garand...........it blew some of the ground based targets up like landmines!

Then there was Lonedrone and his stock 32 inch barrel Goosegun......with 3 round capacity!

Fun times indeed!

That is what we are all about...

Would you guys stop derailing the thread!!!
There's drama, not specifically reserved for anyone's mama.

We can talk guns anytime.

Shredder, Good for you man!! bring what you want and blast the F#@K out of them and have the most fun you can !!!!!!!!
And anyone who degrades you for choice of guns, especially when you go the extra step to mention that you're not planning on winning, but enjoying the game, is an idiot and moron. So don't pay attention to those guys...
Everyone can't win and everyone doesn't care if they win... why some people just can not comprehend why some people actually LOVE LOVE LOVE shooting, shooting itself....
If you bought the best equipment and competed hard, but didn't win and you went home all upset with yourself, and grouchy, then one REALLY is losing, even if they did win the match, they actually lost big time.

HAVE FUN MAN !!!!

I remember that and the dirt landing on the scorekeepers clipboard. It was fun and still is. Twenty two years of competing in the various forms of the holster/action games and that is why I keep coming back. Shoot what you have where it fits and enjoy. The negative ones usually end up having noone to shoot with.

Some people (especially serious competitiors :D) will get a giggle or three out of this........

My rifle will be my 1943 SVT40. THIS is the one that I think will get a few stares.
I'm going for fun, not to win (which I couldn't do anyway).

Meh... Don't be surprized if you do alright.

Plenty of guys with the coolest most expensive gear have no idea how to use their cool most expensive gear.

Yeah, you missed it, we tried making our sports more palatable to the general public and it got us nothing but a watered down sport and a bunch of people that still don't like guns. I'd rather enjoy what we do and have other people get used to it.
It's an invalid excuse. YOU believe that the only reason for shooting is to be competitive, having fun does not compute for you. You need to realize that the vast majority of shooters are just interested in having fun and hanging out with their friends. It is only a very, very small percentage of shooters who are ultra competitive.

thats why the par time is important, cause duck guns and sks's don't always get the job done, especially with a new shooter.

Regardless of equipment/experience I view the use of a "par time" as nothing more than an administrative match tool.

I'm all for new shooters coming out and having fun too, but... Not at the expense of the MD, RO's and other competitors.
The match must run on time.

Generally speaking the set par time is exceedingly generous.
If a stage is "shootabe" by an "avarage" shooter in say... 45 seconds... You can't afford to let someone plug away at it for 10 minutes because their equipment isn't working or they don't know what they're doing.

It's been my experience that with the par time used at TH matches the only guys who time out are those who:

1. Experience some form of catistrophic mechanical failure with one or more of their guns.
2. It's their very first match ever and they're using borrowed gear they are unfamiliar with

And probably the most common...

3. They don't manage the stage well enough to complete it in time. ie. they plug away at a target over and over trying to get the hit when at that point its wiser to cut their losses (take the miss), leave that target and move on.

All tha BS said... If you are new and do time out... Don't take it personally or too hard. Everyone started out as a "new" shooter.

If you're an "experienced" shooter and time out... Up yer game buddy and stop sucking so much ;-)

Now that I realize there is a 3 gun happening, wondering how I may register. Just show up?

Also, regarding the firearms, is there any limitation on the type of gun for the handgun portion? I have 2 extremes. A .22 WMR and a .500 S&W. I was thinking I would use my KSG and SKS as the other two. I haven't done 3 gun before but thought it might be fun to try.

Yes, it is plenty fun! Just show up, probably a little before 10 for registration. Here's a thread with some info:

Neither of your pistols make the cut, by the looks of things. But you could just bring some factory 9mm ammo, and I'd bet you can borrow someone's pistol.
