Der über pistolen (German, Austrian, Swiss pistols picture thread)

There was an article in a gun mag several years ago called "Der über pistol". Always loved that title. Funny.

I was trying to take some good photos of some of my "über pistols". It's actually pretty hard to get good quality photos! Most of what I took was total rubish. I haven't had the time to do this recently, and I seem to have gotten worse at it. Anyway, here are some photos to try and break up the monotony of the regular CGN pistol threads (GLOCkvs. M&P, which should I buy?, etc.).

HK pistol designs of the 70s (P9S), 80s (P7M13), 90s (USP40), 2000s (P2000):

Two P7M8 pistols. One "IG" (86), one "IK" (89):

Three P7M13 pistols. One "IE" (84), one "IG" (86), one "AC" (02):

"IA" (80) commercial PSP with an old flap holster; "82" PSP marked "NDS" (Niedersachsen Landespolizei/Lower Saxony State Police) with a German police surplus holster; "IG" (86) P7M13 with a drop and off-set Blade-Tech holster:

Gen 3 OD GLOCK 19 in a Safariland 6005 holster; P7M13 in a Blade-tech holster. Strange perspective here, making the GLOCK look much bigger than the HK, when in fact they are about the same size.

Pistol collection: L to R: "IA"(80) PSP; "IG"(86) M13; 82 NDS PSP; "IK"(89) M8; "IG"(86) M8; "IE"(84) M13; "AC" (02) M13:

Continuing with my Teutonic picture show:

Wish this were mine, but... alas a photo from the Internet... P7K3 "IH" (87):

Minty "IG"(86) P7M8:

And the other side looks even more complicated:

My "Über" GLOCK, or at least my favorite, OD Gen 3 19:

Restricted Luger P08 in 9mm:

Nice. the P7 has got to be on the top 5 list of all time best 9mm designs.

Speaking of which, my list would be (in no particular order):

HK P7 (partial to the M8 myself) - innovative gas operation, safe cocking system and very accurate
Sig P210 - a classic and known to be one of the most accurate 9s
Browning Hi power - one of the first hi capacity 9s, classic design
Glock 17 - say what will but it put polymer on the map and it is indestructible
Luger - need I say more

Nice collection you have there.

Thanks, the impossibily "über rare" P7K3 is prohibited in Canada (for barrel length) and there are only a few of them in the country - so that one is just a digital picture. The P230, was a restricted one that I sold earlier this year. I think the rest of the stuff, up to this point in the thread, is mine. The GLOCK 17, Walther P99 and Steyr M below I sold those years ago. It`s a damn addiction. I`ve been around Roger Lin too long. That`s my excuse.

Some more....

Restricted P9S with target sights... also seen above. Amazingly accurate pistol:

Restricted SIG 229 and railed 228:

SIG 230 and 239. The 230 is not mine:

Police surplus PSP with German police surplus holster:

GLOCK 17 with Safariland holster. This I had eons ago. Long gone:

Walther P99AS, also something I no longer have:

And Steyr M9A1, also no longer mine:

NICE collection! Though your G19/P7 photo looks hilarious!

great thread! german guns and european guns in general, the best guns in the world IMHO.
I will post a thread of my P30L LEM and DA/SA. Also who is interested in a video comparison of both triggers? I can/will start a new thread if I get a couple votes.

Glad you were able to get the P30 with LEM. Did you convert yours or is that a different pistol?

I too have been intrigued by the Steyr, both the L-A1 and the M-A1, might be my next acquisition. The only thing I don't like is that gap between the slide and the frame. You can see clean through from one side to the other.

completely new gun.
I have sold one of my da/sa last month and the other one goes for sale tomorrow. Going to shoot LEM for a while, I really like it, the DA/SA was excellent for me too. Also, I just got a PPQ, I will then see what is all the PPQ fuzz about.

Glad you were able to get the P30 with LEM. Did you convert yours or is that a different pistol?
