Be careful, the lever can break!
Try and disassemble the assembly by removing the recoil pad first.

but nothing slides, the little ball on the next move if I sink

I have no desire at this time to disassemble the butt plate
not to the perforate

I think the nut on the inside is just too many
and it touches a little edge of the slide

Just take a screw driver , use it like a lever, apply a progressive strength, mine too is hard.

After take a 308 cartridge and push the ball , and you can slide the cheek rest than lock it with the lever...

If the lever moves freely, you may need to oil the ball bearing and track.
It may require a smack of the hand to get things moving again.

I managed to lift the cheek rest
the problem came from the small ball (or me)
by pushing hard with a point, it is only venutout
just need to start each holes
