You could buy a Weatherby Vanguard and throw the stock away.

Unless you wanted a .25-06. Or a 6.5x55. Or a fluted 7mm RM etc. Add a McMillan stock and you are good to go for less than a Range Certified or Back Country.
 
"...price in the States..." Ignore any prices you see Stateside. They have nothing whatever to do with prices here. Generally speaking, you can expect to pay around 100% more here.

I bought a howa through clay, his prices were very close to the us price, but that was about 2 or 3 years ago.

No 25-06 anymore? I had one of the old ones in 25-06, at least long enough to transfer it to another member. For awhile there we were picking them up for $300 to $350 depending on whether they were DBM or not.

Anyone want some stocks? I didn't quite have the heart to throw them away, but would give them away.

Yes, they still make them in .25-06...

I've been looking for a wood stock for a right hand, long action for a bit now to replace the plastic one, pm sent.
