First Black Bear

"Unfortunately, this very lucky bear managed to get into the thickest/nastiest bush"

- How is a dead rotting bear carcass "a very lucky bear"?

Assuming he is dead, but I never fully presume my quarry dead until I've retrieved it. Had I found him not yet expired I would've finished him. Since I wasn't able to find him, there is a possibility that by not being found, he may survive, making him a very lucky bear... I don't know why I just replied to your baited post. I guess my boredom got the best of me.

The bear was hit behind the left shoulder in the lungs. Complete pass-through and good colored lung blood. Shot angle was mainly broadside, with just a slight quartering-to angle, but barely worth mentioning. The arrow connected exactly where I placed my 20yard pin.

Not to sound like an ass, but I can pretty much guarantee you that's not the shot he received or he'd be dead within 100 yards. It's generally not the animal's fault if they don't die and I don't think he considers himself "lucky" as you mention in another post.
Sometimes it's not a good idea to share every story. This isn't Facebook. We all screw up, but expect criticism if you post shortcomings.

I never said I didn't go past 100 yards, and I said openly that I expected criticism, yet I am not afraid to admit my "shortcomings", as I did everything I felt I could to locate the bear. Did you even read anything I posted? I know where I hit him. It was right behind the left front shoulder, where I hit all my targets. Unfortunately he may have gotten into some brush or something where I couldn't find him. Anyhow, Best of luck to you this season.

This isn't the first time this has happened to someone so I don't understand the criticism. Hunting is all about learning and rolling with the situation, nothing ever goes as planned. They came back the next day to look for the bear and they didn't find it... nothing new.

People are mad because you forgot a flashlight? Has nobody forgotten anything important before? Or is its just easier to belittle people who publicly admit their mistakes?
