Decent red dot for Tavor tar-21 under $300?

There is nothing wrong with mounting a proven entry level red dot on a 2500.00 rifle, it will do a perfect job Whitetail hunting, just make sure you keep a spare optic handy, all the time at the cabin...
Must have a back up sight while hunting ( the scout carry an inbuild peep sights se permently on the rifle), weight reduction is the main concern here...JP.

It came with iron sights for a backup which is great, thanks for your opinion, I am leaning towards the TRS-25, simply for the fact its got great reviews from both people here and other sites, and even though I would be buying it to see how I like red dots, it will still have a use somewhere down the line on other firearms.

I have a Lucid HD7 for sale. Its awesome, four different reticals, auto brightness control, AA battery with auto shut off. Have had Zero issues with mine. It's good up to socom 458 cal.
Havs 2x mag on it.
Just another option. Far cheaper than a aimpoint or eotech

Hey Carmel,

It would appear you have that red dot sight installed backwards...or am I just seeing things...

Just grabbed a trs-25 due to their reputation, check out my thread called 'budget optics'. Where a lot of members chime in on some really good stuff

I got a burris ar-536 and a fastfire III mounted on top of my Tavor. Best value red dot and the 536 is very decent as well. Total cost me about 660 for both.

I hear you about not wanting to spend a lot but I'd try and grab an aimpoint patrol optic off the EE. Simple, reliable, red dot, close to your budget and it'll have a better resale value than some of the other optics if you choose to ditch it. And if you decide to keep it, you'll have it for life... And will probably never have to change the battery.
