I just got to thinking about how my old 51 Tula ? has NEVER had a single FTF,FTE or a fail of any description at all.
(Not counting the time it launched a muzzle brake downrange. Didn't even notice it had gone until after 3 or 4 more reloads, no difference in the gun at all proving to me that a MB on an SKS is just extra weight )
Its so bloody reliable it verges on the boring. Minimal maintenance consists of cleaning it after shooting and tossing it in the closet or in the shed. Ive never had to use any tools on it other than the cleaning kit and an oily rag.
I may have missed a previous post but can any one point to an example of a Russian SKS ever failing thru poor original workmanship or materials ?
I see lots of big bucks fancyass uber rifles that crack receivers, blow up bolts, launch barrels etc.
So this is just about Russian SKS,any year, any arsenal
DO THEY EVER FAIL ?
