Holster recommendations

Newb question here, but I assume the dropped offset holster extends the holster out off the belt instead of being right up against your waist? Reason I ask is I've got a good "muffin top" lol and having it right up against my waist would be a little awkward and uncomfortable I imagine.

Right you are, I believe various drops are available, going with the three inch as the fellow members recommended. There is also the offset which cants the grip of the pistol away from your waist. Blade tech has some pics, kinda hard to find, but they're there. You can also adjust the pistol angularity in terms of the forward backward cant. I'm new to it all but i think all the features you want bladetech offers, what more could you ask of a holster. Blade tech here I come.

I use Fobus, Serpa and Unckle Mike's kydex. They all work.

If the mag needs adjustment, or the mag holders are too tight, heat from a hair dryer will allow you to make some adjustments. I had to open up the mag holders to take the M&P mags this way.

I use the Blade-Tech holster for both a CZ-75B and a S&W 686. For IDPA, I remove the drop/offset component to help keep my 'concealment' legal. The Blade-Tech holsters have been great for me and are super easy to adjust as per your desired level of tightness.

Hi all,

In the process of joining a club, still have to target practice, thereafter going to be joining ipsc. Wondering what everyone's holster preference is, please be brand and model specific.

Very little knowledge on my part, but, from what I've read, I'm leaning toward blade tech. Also I've noticed blackhawk and comp tac holsters seem to be popular in the south. I'm not set on kydex, if you have leather or synthetic preference please advise.

The holster is for a sig p229 9mm, railed, iron sights, sig and sig tac holsters are part of the group of holsters I'm looking at as we'll.

Thanks in advance,

RM

BladeTech has great products and absolutely top notch customer service. I recommend them 1 billion %. I ended up buying 2 different WRS II drop leg holsters from them. One is FDE and is a strictly drop leg while the other is black and can be swapped into a drop hip holster. Both work awesome and The black one fits my S&W E series 1911 that has a rail.
