I'm looking to pick up a Russian SKS. A couple years ago I remember seeing in several stores across the country various package deals for the rifle plus ~1000+ rounds of surplus ammo etc. At the time I wasn't interested in the rifle, though I appreciated it's history and thought it was a heck of a deal. Since then I have moved to the Ottawa region and am interested in purchasing the rifle as just a fun shooter and something with a bit of history. I have scoured the internet and the forums for a dealer/supplier in my area that offers a package like this and have turned up empty handed (unless I'm blind, which is entirely possible). I have seen a few that peak my interest on the EE however I would really like to be the first owner, and I want a deal on the ammo as well. If all else fails I am willing to order and have the items shipped from a supplier, but this is something I am trying to avoid since I'd really like to hold and inspect the firearm rather than place a random phone/internet order. Does anyone know of a supplier in the Ottawa/Montreal area that offers what I am looking for? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the input! Found someone from CGN in the area who's selling one with ammo so this should work out nicely! That being said, can anyone recommend any shops with a good firearm selection in Ottawa worth checking out? Not much of a selection here in Cornwall...

Fence Depot is selling them in Cornwall...had one on the rack when I was there the other day and more in a crate out back. That said, they're going for $269 I think...and the guy at the counter wasn't sure if they were all number matching or not, just that they were Russian. SFRC would be a better bet...I've ordered from them several times and have always been happy.

Check out wolverine supplies, great store and always a pleasure to deal with. If you want russian.. buy the gun seperate and Budget shooter supply for ammo
+1 both geat to deal with IMHO
Most of their prices are completely out to lunch. I only go there for scope rings etc... that aren't practical to order online.
