Allright so I want to upgrade my bolt as my extractor is starting to go, and being me I decided might as well change the whole thing, so here we go I only know of 2 upgraded bolts

The Match One sold by Hical and the KIDD one sold by JoBrooks, so here is my question any of you have feedback on one of these 2 or any other suggestion and do you know of anyone who has them in stock ?

Your help would be appreciated and please don't tell me use the search option as I did and considering how scarce 10/22 part's are now a days I feel it is a valid question

*Please don't refer me to the EE unless its worth it I understand most people want to help but I am not willing to pay retail+++ for on Item on the EE even if it's new

Anyways thank you for looking and hope you can help me out

Lets just put is nicely, he's saving you money. I'm building an ultralight 10/22. I'm thinking of upgrading internals, however the cost is crazy.
There are a few laser etched bolts that I really like but I don't have to coin to spend.

You can make a fair bit of difference accuracy wise yourself if you are willing and able to do some work. Trueing up the bolt face and setting the headspace properly can make a pretty big difference. A Kidd bolt is an awful expensive way to get a better extractor though.

And really, replacing your bolt due to a crappy extractor is stupid.

No offense but I bought a use rhineland R22 with an unknown round count, its not an authenthic ruger bolt and the extractor is going next might be the firing pin or the bolt itself. Is it stupid to spend 140$ and have peace of mind for years ? I don't think so

Now back to topic and thanks Innercity I'll check out Dlask tommorow

instead of purchasing a whole new bolt a VQ extractor would cost a fraction the price of any aftermarket bolt, and would give you the reliable extraction you desire. there are retailers in Canada that sell these seperate that are not affiliated with CGN.

I put a Kidd bolt in my 10/22. I have not had a single ftf or fte with cci minimags or blazers in over 1000 rounds now. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my old bolt, the odd stovepipe but nothing worth complaining about. It's your money and if that's how you want to spend it, all the power to you. Upgrading is fun. How many people spend the cost of a Kidd bolt (around 160 bucks) in slot machines once or more a week? Do I call them stupid? No. I wouldn't do it, but hey it must be fun for them. I picked mine up from Fabsports. http://www.fabsports.ca/advanced_se...sid=09b69ad86dfefc36418833b65f5df68c&x=27&y=3

Hope that helps.

Never used Winchester but I have zero problems with the federal bulk and the blazer. The blazer is more accurate than the federal but your rifle might be different. Federal is better for putting down gophers being hollow point. The cci minimags are by far the most accurate that I have shot and is my primary gopher and upland bullet now. You can check out the groups I was getting in the rimfire 50 yard challenge.

Awesome I was mainly wondering how it cycle low quality to decent ammo and I am glad to here it cycles well as here in petawawa it is sometimes hard to find decent ammo

Good choice. Is the rest of your 10/22 stock? If so, a Kidd barrel from Fabsports would be pretty sweet as well. I will be using a Kidd barrel on my next build for sure.

Its not a 10/22its a Rhineland r22 but it uses a 10/22 bolt has a bull Barell ar15 trigger HK ish furniture its a pretty sweet little rifle

I run a scalloped black kidd bolt in my 10/22 build and I have never had a single misfire, failure to eject or extract, or anything. I have only shot Blazer bulk from the packaged and unpackaged boxes with the factory 10 rnd magazines but it loves it all!

You can't go wrong with any KIDD parts. I have one gun with a kidd drop in trigger/sear and I have a 2nd gun with a kidd bolt, cocking assembly, 2 stage trigger group... they are all amazing parts!

Ive used a KIDD bolt in my last build and I also built a factory Bolt with VQ parts.... No change in accuracy or reliability.

So save your money and upgrade the factory bolt to VQ parts.

Negative, I went the the black bolt and already stated earlier in the post that its not an actual ruger bolt it a copy made by rhineland and it not up to specs so simple fix is by an upgraded on.

Thanks anyways though

And turns out Fabsports is onlly open from 12-3 on saturdays so couldnt stop buy I've ordered on and will be swaping the bolt in 2 weeks cant wait to try it out
