For a sub-$1000, non-restricted gun with Pmag compatibility, this thing ain't bad.

The way I have my SU-16 set up, it's closer to a $1500 gun (with optic), but even stock, it's still a smokin' deal considering the other <$1000 non-restricted guns out there that take Pmags.

Let's just hope that it doesn't break, because I'm not really looking forward to dealing with Vault considering some of the recent posts that were made here.

It would be cool if Kel-Tec made a "small parts kit" for it, just in case, and if someone brought them in. Maybe they do, I haven't checked.

My shooting buddy had one that he was $1400 into when the receiver cracked into 2 parts (documented it on the forum). He got it replaced and then got rid of it. I hope you do much better with yours, it looks good. However, if it was me, I would have just bought an MR1 used for the same price.

It looks awsome! Really, great concept but here in the great white north I'm really afraid off the plastic receiver cracking. My rfb is built like a tank but su 16 with a plastic receiver... I don't know...

Have always wanted one and this looks great so I second the request for details... deets!!

It's just a used KelTec SU16 with an AR stock adapter, Magpul UBR stock, Pmag, Gen 1 Angled Foregrip, Red Lion forend and a Trijicon RMR.

It's fairly light (maybe 6-7 pounds), but I haven't shot it yet.

I actually wasn't even going to buy one until next year, but I stole some money from the 2014 gun-fund and bought it out of the EE a couple of days ago.

I'd own an MR1 if they were the least bit customizable, but they're not, unfortunately.

I really dont like the look of the stock SU16, but this one looks pretty damn good. Have you shot it yet? What type of accuracy are you getting. Cool gun :)

Looks good, but I'm wondering how you got the Red Lion forend? Last I heard they wouldn't ship outside of the US. I would love to get a nice railed forend that is actually designed for the rifle, the modified FN FAL rail just didn't cut it for me.

After I bought a used one and it cracked on me with no available recourse to fix it even though I was willing to pay a significant amount of money to do it...never again. Polymer doesn't belong in anything that produces any significant amount of recoil, IMO. Maybe a .22 LR or a pistol...but not in a rifle.

And with the number of SU-16 receivers breaking and absolutely no way of repairing them and no warranty available, I'm still surprised by the prices of used (even if "new") SU-16's on the EE. I guess there are a number of people out there who don't mind paying near new prices and rolling the dice of ending up with a $700 piece of garbage that Vault won't touch and cannot be shipped back to Kel Tec in Florida.
