m14 doesnt like norc ammo?

The Chinese 7.62x51 ammo that I got from CanAm is steel cased, copper washed. RUNS GREAT in my M14. I have several cases stockpiled, the price was right!

I've had great success with it in both my shorty & my full sized. Noticeably more accurate than my south African surplus ammo.
I was making hits with it at +650yards at hungry aka tactical teachers Longview clinic this summer

yet this forum has about 10 threads about this ammo not running..Everything i put in mine (mfs, prvi, federal, pmc, s&B) works with zero issues, this stuff is the only ammo with issues..
 
Works fine in my shorty. 380 rounds out of one spam can and only had one failure to feed and that was on a problematic KCI mag. I've the other 140 rounds with me on a road trip and a full case back home. Grouping not that great for me yet but that's probably the monkey behind the gun. We'll see what happens when I replace the rear sight and op-rod spring and guide.

I think the vast majority of rifles shoot the norc ammo just fine.
I've experienced some rifles that don't like it. For me these have all been shorties, both cut down 18.5" versions (from 22") and factory 18.5". I've seen it with norinco barrels a Criterion and 2 kriegers.
The one krieger cycled the norinco ammo only after removing the upgraded oprod spring (wolfe) and reinstalled factory spring.
In the other cases, new gas pistons were installed, gas assemblies replaced. And in one case with a norinco , all else failed until in had the gas plug modified to increase it's volume a hair.
Mustang frank also had this issue with a cut down norc and solved by having gas port on barrel modified.

So.... While it could just be a crappy batch of norc ammo in your hands..... Then again, maybe not....

That ammo works great in my Norinco shorty and as other have said it is very accurate for military surplus ammo, we need more people like JP so there is more of it for me.
