got my rail from wanstalls today and installation was a breeze (because im going from tech sights to the rail) and this thing is rock solid. I only had one issue and im not sure why. The pin that goes into the rear reciever was too large and too long to fit, nevermind the PITA it would have been to dissasemble. Even if I was able to drive the pin in, there would be no way it would come back out without damage. I was under the impression that you could take the rear pin out and it just swings off the reciever easily but driving that pin out everytime is not cool with me. Take a look at the pic the pin is the same length as the entire assembly. if it was just the width of the rear cover that wouldnt be too bad I guess... The tech sights was held in place by a bolt so thats what ill do. Off to the bolt store I went and got a graded bolt to go in its place problem solved. I do love how the u shape in the rail is pefect for back up irons!

everytime I see a SKS thread, this mark guy keeps blabbering on about how shi**y that is or how awful this is... Its pretty pathetic.... oh and nice gun. ;)

It's a wonderful sks with top quality accessories which no doubt all work perfectly and improve the rifles performance no end.

OK ?

I have another version of the hardware if you want to try that, just pm me. I haven't had any other complaints about the hardware so it may just be a variation in tolerances is what I am guessing.

Looks like the scope will hit the gas tube if the rail is tilted foreword? Maybe it clears if the gas tube is removed?

Oh it will hit thats for sure, the scope will have to come off for cleaning. Dunno how well it will hold zero if i just take it out of the rings and leave the rings on the rail?
