Nikon Prostaff versus Bushnell Legend Ultra HD

Hi, I'm looking to compare the Nikon Prostaff Target EFR against the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD rifle scopes. They are both 3-9x 40mm, both are parallax adjustable, and both cost around $200. Is there better glass out there with an adjustable parallax @ ~$200? I am willing to spend up to $300 if the value is there. It will be used on a .22LR rifle for small game hunting, and I would prefer to have a parallax adjustable rifle scope for this considering the size and range of the targets.

I have 2 Nikon prostaff rimfires and I love them...! I haven't tried a bushnell legend, but I had a bushnell trophy xlt...it was pretty good, but I like my Nikons better..
 
Depends on your use, the Nikon Target EFR is designed for Air Rifle and 22. It is built to stand up to the percussion from an air rifles. Also the Target EFR has front focus adjustment down to 5 yards.
 
I have used the Legend on many rifles and it has proven to adjust very accurately, and it is very clear. Rain Guard is a nice feature. Also, Bushnell currently has a rebate on all Legend Scopes for $40 back in the mail. I have used the Prostaff once for a very brief period. It too adjusted well and was clear. Only thing is that BDC reticle in the Nikon is absolutely gross, way too cluttered. If you stay away from that it should be fine.
 
Thought this thread was dead, but I'm glad I checked back. Thanks for the comments. I guess I can't go wrong with either of them. I already have a Vortex Diamondback 2-7X35 RIMFIRE (50-yard parallax), but it doesn't have AO. I really like the glass and multi-plex reticule on it. Are the Prostaff and Legend Ultra HD optics comparable to the quality of my Diamondback? I'm new to small-game hunting, would an AO scope make a difference on my shots? Or should I just stick with my Vortex? It will be mounted to a quality bolt-action rimfire .22LR. Thanks.
 
I have the last gen of Nikon on my 10/22. Its decent but I wouldn't call it great optically. It might be worth checking out the new version first before buying.

I would just stick with your Vortex. 50 yard parallax is all you need for most hunting shots.
