Loving what we kill.

Be careful with that kind of talk on here. I once received a suspension from a mod for saying something about respecting the animals we kill because he figured it was "anti-hunting" or something.

Hunters often talk about their respect for the game they hunt and then you often hear and see what I consider very little respect in practice.

That article is not about respecting ur food.

It's about a guy thinks to much when he does the killing.

McDonald's, grocery store ect.. Something died for you to eat.

Respect the hunter putting the effort in to supply his / her own food and manage the population.

look at the hungarian hunting pratice and tradition. They paid a great amount of respect to the game they harvest.
respect what you hunt and eat.

I hunted moose for many years in Kenora, Ontario, my partner was aboriginal. We were very Succesful, and after each kill he would hang the bell, or a piece of hide in a tree to RESPECT the animal we had taken. It made me feel good! Jim

What a load of crap. I think no more about any animal I kill than any vegetable I eat. If you're that touchy feely about hunting and killing game stay outa my hunting camp. I respect the fact that I made a clean humane kill and thats about it.

To go hunting and have no reverence or respect for your game's place in nature must be a wholly unsatisfying experience.
Pest control is a whole different story

It's a delishious experience actually.

Just because some of us normal people don't cry and feel like crap after a kill does not mean no "respect". We get a clean kill and are happy to have the meat.

They way some of you post it sounds like ur attending a family members funeral.

I say a 'Thank You' to each and every bird I've killed, as I'm cleaning them.

Why? Can they hear it? Understand it? Nope...

If an animal kills you and eats you it wouldn't thank you...I at least try to kill my prey as fast as possible...I for sure don't start eating it while it is still alive.

Circle of life, take part in the food chain or be taken by it.

Killing is killing. I do not put animals on the same level as people, I can kill them indifferently...for food or pest control but I don't act like I am some soft soul after I shot something.
