Call Wolverine Supplies, order a bunch of HK parts, wait several months and you will have lots of spares to keep your HK running.
Logistically Glocks are less expensive and easier to find parts for to maintain them.

If you need a trigger job, then you need training. Learn to shoot.
Tdc
Well no one really needs a trigger job, but even trained pro shooters get get em done. Perhaps they never attended TDC's School of Shooting ;-)
I have been reading all kind of things about gen 4s and their issues, none of my buddies at the range have experienced any though.... but, not really interested in getting a lemon...
Something that sounds interesting to me, like gundoggy said, Glocks are easy to find parts for.
I have had a PPQ for a few days and we didn't bond (it was my idea for back up, due to the similarities with the P30 in regards to controls) hence the short stay, I sold it 2 days ago. Loved the trigger, that was it, too plastiquy, sweaty grips and I was like, meh, I didn't care about the PPQ, and the threaded barrel was not my favorite thing and athough I didn't care, it was bugging me a bit. At the end of the day, just wanted to shoot my P30, the only reason why I would buy a Glock would be back up AKA just in case my p30 needs a spring in the middle of an IDPA match kinda thing....
I might get another PPQ again in the future when they get rid of that threaded barrel though.

love the gun, hate the trigger. im putting a pyramid trigger in mine soon, just tried one a couple days ago. no more plasticy snap and spring bouncing feeling, no more weird breaking point... ya its a $200 trigger but im getting one.
ive tried to put my glock up for sale a few times but can never bring myself to do it.
I bought a glock out of spite. My buddy has always wanted one and he is a real tire kicker. He has had a license for almost 10 years and still has not bought a gun but he always talked about a glock. And I personally don't find them appealing. So I bought one to spite him. It's a pretty good gun tho

IMHO
The GLOCK 17 is the best offering they have ( well the 19 really......but you get the point) I wouldn't worry about "getting a lemon" with a Gen 4. For every 1 problem reported, you'll find 100 guys that love theirs. That's just the nature of internet reviews. People will always complain, but very few will post positive thoughts.
The 17/19 Gen 4 is one of the most reliable 9mm's out there. Also consider the M&P.

The Gen 4 Glock 17 issues have been addressed....its old news. If you do happen to own an early Gen 4 G17, Glock will update the firearm free of charge. The latest Gen 4's (with the four backstraps) are 100% reliable. I call them the Gen 4.5
