Anyone miss the Snubbies, like a colt 38 with a 1 1/2" barrel? The other day I got the urge to get a snub nosed revolver....Of course there illegal in Canada cause they are super duper evil with their short barrels that spit fire like a dragon and there revolving cylinder of death that keeps the cases with the gun instead of spitting them out on the ground as evidence :) Lol, ok its late but I do miss the Snubbies :(

Anyone else?

How can you miss something that you can't own, or did you have them before the stupid prohib laws? I have 12(6) so I don't miss them at all, even have a 3" 44 Mag, now that spits fire like a dragon.

Missed being able to own them due to age. Have held them, have shot them, but can not own and enjoy them beyond that.

Missed the boat.

Hard to miss something you never had..... I sure miss scarlet Johanson lol a guy can dream still, what's a person without dreams

I have 2, a .357 and a 44 special. I got the nostalgia urge too, and once I got them I am a little underwhelmed by the .357. I love the 44, but I'm not a wheelgun guy to begin with. They are something that's nice to look at but will probably only see the range once or twice a year. I won't ever sell the .44, but I still prefer my Browning BDA .380 and my P7.

Admittedly those people who have a 12(6) probably don't get enough range time with those guns. Maybe the answer is to have the various handgun disciplines to add a 12(6) category in their matches. Give everyone an excuse to bring them out and use them.

I've always loved the P7....

Now that S&W make the 629 (and 686) in 4.2 I don't miss shorter barrels. I wouldn't say the 4 inch 629 is a stubby but it is classic length: versatile and still handles like a handgun. I picked one up a few months ago and I like it way more than i thought i would. It has perfect balance.

I am also an idiot.....I had the chance to be 12(6) but didn't.
Now I can only hate all you 12(6)'rs (just kidding of course) and its all my fault.
It would be nice if the rest of us were allowed to own just one of these extremely dangerous short bbl HG's....

I never had to opportunity. But it's not just snub noses I'm feeling deprived of: there's quite a few revolvers I would spring for if our gun laws were mysteriously touched by sanity. S&W 325 Night Guard .45 ACP, Model 27 with the 3+1/2" barrel, but most of all I want one of the Dan Wesson packs with the interchangable barrels. While I can have one now, I can only have the 8" and 6" barrels, even if I buy a package with the 4" and 2" barrels for import. It's hard to express how sad that makes me.

A lot of people missed out. I think at the time no one really understood the ramifications, and the government didn't spend more than $1.95 to advertise it. I didn't even hear about the 12/6 till after the deed went down but I had a dozen or so lugers at the time and got it without knowing. I was not actively shooting at that time and it was about 5 yrs before I discovered what 12/6 was all about. Now I make damn sure my renewals get sent in at least 6 months ahead of schedule.

I sent in my renewal aprox 5 months ahead hope that is enough, got my 12-6 when I took my grandpas iverjohnson 38 in to get registered under some amnesty thing . I think. You should have seen the look I got at the cop shop. When I took it out of my pocket .
Didn't no any better then. Was interesting for a while. Sure wouldn't do that now adays .

I am fortunate to have 12(6).

For those of you that missed out due to being chronologically challenged, enjoy your youth, it only comes around once.

The only snubbie's I currently own are a S&W Model 37 Airweight 2" .38 Spl & S&W Model 19 2 1/2" .357 Mag.

No real interest in acquiring any more.

I owned a stainless steel S&W model 60 and a Walther PPK at one time. Sold them both in a moment of weakness then Allen Rock's prohibited list became law so I missed out being grandfathered. I also didn't bother getting a FN FAL when I had the chance. Governments love to control things, people and tax just about everything.

First, I missed the chance at 12.x by 2 years: I just wasn't interested at the time. Kicking myself constantly: only true regret in my life.

Second, (insert 10 miles of swearing here) politicians need to stop making decisions that are so (10 more miles here) stupid. Why can't we start with anyone over 30 years old and had a Restricted PAL for 6 years can get a Prohib status PAL? Then, when the world doesn't self-distruct because of it, we "think of the children" and find none got hurt because of it, and so on; we move forward again? Why? Idiots in charge, that's why!!!

Lastly, why choose 105mm??? To F' us over: it converts to 4.13386 inches. You know how many 4" guns out there?

*sigh* Just wanna rant, so hard.... sorry.

Yes, I miss the chance at making my own decisions in life.
