... unfortunately for me, it was pouring today. I was travelling today on business so wasn't able to check Ellwood Epp's site until this evening. My heart sank when I saw what they'd listed and sold... a couple of Thompson Contender carbines in 22lr and 223 for $425 --- that's a steal for a Contender and an A. Zoli double rifle in 7x65R for $1100.

When you snooze, you lose... but it's always fun to see what's for sale, even if you miss out. I hope those Contenders went to a good home... maybe even a CGNer who wants to sell them :)

At my age I find I snooze more - but at that price woulda loved one of those Contenders too - woulda been on the phone credit card ready. Great snag for someone.
 
They are having a few good in store sales lately, they are clearing out all of there clothing, as they are not going to carry it anymore.
They are anticipating Cabelas coming to Barrie, and say they won't be able to compete with the prices or selection.
 
I can relate ...

I missed out on a nice Uberti '73 carbine in 44-40 by waffling for a couple of days. Snooze - ya lose fer shure.
