Looks good, but I'm wondering how you got the Red Lion forend?
Easy enough. Want one? I sold him that one.

im finding it quite humorous the amount of people complaining about cracked recievers. From what ive researched that is no longer an issue.
They are well made and reliable... I'm starting to really like Kel-Tec products... totally ok with polymer.
Don't listen to the haters. They are just jealous they spent over 2k on a tavor or xcr to have the same amount of fun.
I'm not sure if the warranty from vault transfers with ownership so I'd buy new.
And with the number of SU-16 receivers breaking and absolutely no way of repairing them and no warranty available, I'm still surprised by the prices of used (even if "new") SU-16's on the EE. I guess there are a number of people out there who don't mind paying near new prices and rolling the dice of ending up with a $700 piece of garbage that Vault won't touch and cannot be shipped back to Kel Tec in Florida.
I've had no real problems with mine. Love it. Great gun IMO. I'm not sure if the warranty from vault transfers with ownership so I'd buy new. I bought mine new. Only had to deal with vault for a screw on the reciever. Vibrates loose. They replaced it. Tool a while but it was done.

Are you suggesting Vault is denying repairs to NEW (first owner) firearms...or only the used arms?
By the way, it doesn't matter if the gun was originally imported by Vault or not. Unless you are the original purchaser, they won't help you in dealing with a firearm that needs to be sent back to Kel Tec for service. You'll be on your own. Ask me how I know...lol.
Yes, actually, it does matter. It matters a great deal. You may well be the original, first purchaser but if you bought a rifle that some entity other than Vault imported -- your rifle will *NOT* be covered. Ask me, I know. lol
I can confirm for you that the warranty does NOT transfer. If there wasn't an issue with firearms and the border, Kel Tec is actually quite willing to fix these rifles even if they are not under warranty. The problem is the US/Canada border, and how difficult it is for Canadians to ship firearms to the USA for repairs and such...without the proper paperwork.
I certainly enjoyed mine while it wasn't broken. I modified mine similar to yours, and it was light to carry and fun to shoot. With the receiver cracking issue, I'm just surprised that people are willing to pay close to retail for them with no warranty, that's all. You can say all you want about "first run" or whatever, but is there literature from Kel Tec identifying which range of serial numbers would fall into the problematic category? Nope...so it's a gamble at best.
This was mine...

Before this happened and turned it into a $700 piece of plastic garbage...

If only AR's were non-restricted, there wouldn't even be a market for a plastic gun like the SU-16.
The explanation I was given was that it costs a lot of time and money in red tape to export the gun from Canada back to Kel Tec in Florida
You're not understanding what I'm saying, so I'll try to say it another way...
Vault will ONLY deal with you if you are the ORIGINAL purchaser.
