Sold my XCR and needed a semi auto range gun and since I have always wanted one decided what the heck. Bought one of the IRUNGUNS Palmetto state Armory PA15 with Vortex strikefire red dot included for $879.

Initial thoughts are good. finished the initial strip and clean then lube. Feels alot cheaper than the XCR but to be expected with the low end plastic bits that came with the rifle. Thats not a bash on the platform I expected that and had plans on upgrading parts before the rifle even showed up but wanted to get my foot in the door for under $1000. Thought I would hate the red dot but actually find it pretty neat and can't wait for a range day (maybe even later today) to try it out.

So the first two issues
What is a good BUIS and where to buy? I will probably use the red dot but want a rear sight regardless so looking for a reasonably priced quality unit. Folding would be nice.

Second this is the worst trigger I have ever felt EVER. I had a Geissele SSA trigger on the bottom of my upgrade list but after feeling the trigger it got bumped up to the top. So is there a quality upgrade that comes in at a better price than the above or am I better off waiting a month and getting the Geissele after payday (don't like using credit or savings for guns stuff)

After a few quality trips to the range I plan to add a review of my thoughts of XCR vs AR aswell as how I like the PSA. Looking forward to diving in to the AR world already have a cart full at One Shot Tactical just waiting till after a range day to see if I want to add anything.

EDIT: photo

That is a smoking good deal from IRUNGUNS.
AR triggers need to be broken in, just shoot it for a bit and it should get better.

Thanks for the tip about the trigger. I was happy with the price got the gun/mag/reddot/mount/2xmagnifier for 879. Wanted to get into an AR for under 1000 and wanted to try a red dot without diving into the big dollar ones for fear of not being a fan so when I saw his deal thought why not.

What ar where are the pics ? He he

Man are you guys quick. Waiting on a slow photobucket upload but really it's pretty plain right now.

Great deal, work the trigger in but a quality trigger is better.
It won't be all that long and you will loose count of the number of AR's you will have had, I know I have.
They grow on you, and it feels strange not to have one in the lock up.
I started with the SP1 and have steadily progressed through the whole family.
It was fun to see the looks on hunters faces when they saw you with an SP1 AR when it was legal to carry one during hunting season.

^ This makes me sad^ I may never get to experience this :/

On another note, great price !! Hope it treats you right :)

At least this year a few people will be doing it with the Type 97s.
If we can slowly familiarize people with the idea of black rifles for hunting again it will slowly become less taboo.

Congrats on the new AR I'm sure your gonna love it!

I got the PSA M4 as well from Irun and put the KAC 600 Micro rear buis. Love them, very crisp view of the front post, had no problem hitting target at 200 yards with them and the clicks are crisp. Trigger is far from the worst I've felt, but the first stage is not ideal. I don't mind it at all for follow-up shots only resetting sear. For accuracy so far with 50 grain bullets (not best for 1/7 twist) I was getting 0.3" 4 round groups at 50 yard with handloads.
