Barnaul 308 Win (7.62x51)

I find most/all of the Russian steel-cased commercial .308/7.62 ammo runs pretty hot, and I don't use it anymore in any of my older military rifles. You do, however, often get a nice satisfying ball of flame out of the muzzle.

what are you shooting it out of? I've been using PRC 91 steele cased copper washed for my rem 700p, shoots 1-1.5 moa with it. Just cheap stuff for practicing technique..

That's steel cased? I thought it was brass. Been looking to pick some up and try it.

Brass washed steel case. They seem a bit hot, don't shoot too bad about 1½" MOA out of my rifle. Good plinking ammo but a bit dirty.

I bought a couple packs at LeBaron Markham for about $8./20rnds.
